Quick bragging.
Writing my thesis…not done, but close. I’m at 56 pages, 30 pages of solid text. I still have a couple things to write about in my results section, about half of my discussion, and figures and tables to insert in the paper. Otherwise, this baby is ready for another round of advisor edits.

He was never afraid to fall off the top rung of the ladder and I learned by implication that the worst thing you can do is fall off a low rung. If you're going to make a mistake, make a huge one.

Just an update, I guess.
I keep hearing rejection from these programs, and it is entirely disheartening. I have 3 left, and I’m finding it impossible to stay positive. So in the meantime, I’m applying for jobs up in the Stockton/Sacramento area. Hopefully SOMETHING will come through.
Also, I’m making progress on my thesis. Getting ready to set a defense date - writing up the discussion, tables/graphs,...
